Take A Breath With Me This Week
In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision. Dalai Lama
Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow. ~Helen Keller
Blessings to you once again from Bush Baby Haven in South Africa. I am here for a few months to get my spiritual boost in nature and to celebrate Willow Harpers first birthday on November 7th. It has been quite joyous for me to have the experience of falling in love with this child who I met when she was 3 months old and got the pleasure of hanging out with until she was 6 months old. Not being a parent, I am now loving this 12-month-old who is crawling like a speed demon, on the verge of walking, talking and saying “NO”. I have been here a week and every day I lay myself down at night quite fatigued from the effort. I am quite sure I now know why God created it so that parents are younger people with stronger backs and more stamina. And it is wonderful.
I am here for the most part through April 17th of next year. Though I won’t see many of you in person, I am fully connected by email, WhatsApp and Facetime. I am six hours later in the day if you live on the East Coast and nine hours later if you live on the West Coast.
Sunday Night Alive is being moved to Saturday Morning Metaphysical Musings until April, so please join me at 9am tomorrow morning. I am thoughtful that we are moving into election week and many of my friends and colleagues are quite stressed in anticipation of what the next week will bring. This Saturday morning, we will be musing together on how to remain calm, centered, collected and in our personal power – regardless of what happens in the world around us. There are so many powerful spiritual topics that can help us move through any thing that can be thrown at us from the world. Join me this Saturday morning to literally take a breath before we speak, act or go down the rabbit-hole of frustration, anger, fear or worry.
Remember these few things as often as you can during the day:
- I am in charge of my happiness
- Everything is going to be okay
- My attitude contributes to my life experience
- I expect a good turnout, a perfect result and to get whatever is right and good for me
I know that sometimes circumstances interfere with our ability to hold steady on our positive expectations, but doing so allows the not so good things to leave you sooner and creates an opening for good to come.
So regardless of what happens this week – do your best to not ‘awfulize’ the future. Rember the lovely quote from Richard Bach,
“The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly.”
I know that some are experiencing ‘real tragedy and injustice’ and this idea may seem cold, cruel or unrealistic. But remember that for the caterpillar, the period of goo, the releasing of the old to embrace the new was pretty tragic until what was really happening revealed itself in a new pair of beautiful wings and the ability to fly.
If you would like to support my ministry through A Life of Spiritual Power, you can do that at the donate option on my web page through a love offering or you can order a 16x20 canvas of one or more of my photographs taken in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and Botswana. www.deniseschubert.com. I am also available to talk or pray with you always! I will continue to share the journey and continue walking with you through life as we all strive to remember the divinity within us, the eternal good and well-being available to us delivered by love Itself and the possibility of living with power, poise and confidence.
Have a wonderful week. I hope to see you Saturday morning for “Take a Breath”….
Love, love and more love,
Rev. Denise
